Heather's Story

Background

Heather's professional path in Massage Therapy began with her graduation from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 1992. Over the following two decades, her career took her to various locations, culminating in her registration with CMTBC as a Massage Therapist in 2011. Since then, Heather has been a dedicated practitioner in Kamloops for 13 years, contributing significantly to the wellness community there.

Treatment Style

At the heart of Heather's treatment philosophy lies a commitment to creating a safe and skillful care environment. Her approach integrates active listening and empathetic touch with practical remedial advice, supporting and nurturing her clients' wellness. Heather's personal practices in meditation, Tai Chi, and Yoga reflect and enhance her professional methodology.

In her practice, Heather addresses the physical impacts of stress and pain, whether they stem from acute injuries, chronic conditions, or mental and emotional stressors. Her goal is to align her therapeutic techniques with her clients' objectives and values, applying her skills in a manner that is both evidence-based and directly relevant to their needs.

Personal

An avid learner, Heather is currently enriching her expertise by pursuing a Health Science Degree in her leisure time. Her love for the outdoors manifests in a passion for running and hiking. She eagerly anticipates exploring the diverse landscapes and opportunities that Victoria has to offer.
