John's Story
Background
John's journey as a Registered Massage Therapist began with his graduation from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2008. His career, spanning over a decade in downtown Victoria, transitioned to Stromma Massage Therapy in its inaugural year, 2019. Prior to his current profession, John's experience in the construction industry was marked by a back injury that became a pivotal point in his life. The recovery process introduced him to the transformative power of massage therapy, igniting a desire to extend similar healing to others. This fueled his 16 years of unwavering dedication and passion in the field of massage therapy.
Treatment Style
John's treatment philosophy centers around recognizing and adapting to each individual's unique stage in their wellness journey. He employs a holistic approach, skillfully blending rhythmic movements to soothe the nervous system with targeted techniques designed to enhance mobility and facilitate recovery.
Integral to John's practice is the incorporation of patient education, self-care strategies, and remedial exercises, all aimed at augmenting the healing process and preventing future injuries. He not only advocates these principles but also actively practices them in his own life, enjoying running and regular workouts at a local gym.
Personal
Away from his professional role, John is a devoted father to two dynamic daughters, passionately involved in their array of sports activities, from hockey and soccer to volleyball. His ideal weekends are spent creating memories with them, whether it's camping in Tofino, relaxing at a cottage on Sproat Lake, or embarking on new adventures across Vancouver Island.
