COMMUNICABLE DISEASE PREVENTION PLAN

The health and well being of our clients and staff are always the top priority at Stromma Massage Therapy. This plan was created (July 2021) with guidance from BC Public Health and our governing body: CMTBC.  The full guidelines can be found here.

PRINCIPLES

  • These guidelines are consistent with guidance provided by BC's Provincial Health Officer, BC's Centre for Disease Control, and WorkSafeBC.

  • Clients and RMT’s must be prescreened and asymptomatic to enter the clinic.

  • Anyone with symptoms should be tested for COVID-19.

  • Physical distancing (except for treatment), hand hygiene, avoidance of face touching, and frequent cleaning of all contact surfaces will be employed as protective measures.

  • Your therapist will be wearing a mask.


WHAT TO EXPECT

  • In addition to our regular cleaning, we will be disinfecting common touch points (eg. POS system, door handles) between clients;

  • Chairs and other items have been removed from reception area;

  • Receipts will be available by email only.


Prior to Arrival

  • You will receive a questionnaire prior to your appointment. Please complete and reschedule your appointment as directed if necessary;

  • If you have traveled outside Canada in the past 14 days, please reschedule your appointment;

  • Please wear a mask to your appointment.


Upon Arrival

  • Please arrive at your appointment time and, if possible, alone;

  • Please wait outside the office door; your therapist will open the door at the time of your appointment;

  • Our sink is available for you to wash your hands;

  • Disposable masks are available for your use if you require one;

  • Your therapist will discuss the requirement to wear a mask during treatment on a case-by-case basis.
